Nigeria Argentina on November 14 in Krasnodar in a match to prepare both teams for next year’s World Cup in Russia, and Ezenwa says it will be no different from any other match. “It is just another normal football match,” Ezenwa was quoted by SCORENigeria. “I don’t think there is going to be anything significantly different from what obtains in a normal game”. Ezenwa is the only player from the NPFL who will be involved in this high-profile clash. Nigeria are ranked 41st in the world by FIFA, while Argentina are fourth. Both teams have clashed six times at full international level – four times at the World Cup and in two friendlies. Nigeria sensationally thrashed Argentina 4-1 in Abuja in June 2011, but have lost the other five times both countries clashed.

Ebele, a goalkeeper, plays for Heartland, who have recently gained promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League, and was voted player of the season for the former Nigerian champions, as they made an instant return to the Nigerian top flight. The Naze Millionaires topped the Nigeria National League Southern conference with several matches to spare. And the club have now said the main reason for this was goalkeeper Ebele Obi. Club spokesman Solomon Onu said the former Enugu Rangers shot stopper was incredible throughout their promotion campaign in the lower league. Ebele recorded 15 clean sheets in 27 matches in the NNL and he was also the star as Heartland reached the Round of 16 of the Aiteo Cup.
