Former Super Eagles player and leader of the National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers (NANPF) Dahiru Sadi says ex- Golden Eaglets captain Musa Mohammed deserves a place for next Nigeria friendly considering his recent form in Bulgaria. The former RSC Anderlecht star also noted that the player is one of the most promising young players in the country and his talents should be utilized by Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr ahead of next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia. “I, like many who know football believe he is one of the best players in Nigeria. His problem before now was lacking of playing time in Turkey but since he moved to Lokomotiv Plodiv, he’s playing 90 minutes, he seemed to have rediscovered his form and I want to call on the national team coaches to look towards him for next matches because he is a quality player.” Sadi noted. Several football analysts have also hailed the player’s form rediscovery due to getting maximum playing time in Eastern Europe while also believing that it’s only a matter of time before he acutalises his dream of making a comeback in the national team and also getting a bigger club. Musa who has three caps for the senior national team is on loan in Bulgaria from Turkish top flight side İstanbul Başakşehir and has played all 90 minutes in his side’s last 9 matches with his trademark overlapping runs and crosses subject of applauses by Plodiv fans.
