BREAKING: Scores killed as gunmen attack worshipers in Anambra church dailypost.ng There is tension in Anambra State following reported death of over 50 worshipers as gunmen launched early morning attack during a Sunday service. The attack occurred at ‎St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ugwu Oye in Ozubulu, Anambra State. News of the reported attack, which is being shared in various platforms read: “Black Sunday!! Many feared killed at an Early morning Catholic mass shooting by Unknown Gun men who stormed a church at Ozubulu in Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra State . Over 20 deaths recorded already according report . While I sympathize with all the affected families , I wish to submit that this is a time for we to unite against any form of barbarism against our people ! This is not a time for blame games ,but a time for great people created by great God to stand up and secure our people . Security agency must do everything to arrest the perpetuators of Ozubulu Massacre for them to face the law . No excuse should make anyone to move into a Church of God and start shooting innocent worshipers ! Ebele, a goalkeeper, plays for Heartland, who have recently gained promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League, and was voted player of the season for the former Nigerian champions, as they made an instant return to the Nigerian top flight. The Naze Millionaires topped the Nigeria National League Southern conference with several matches to spare. And the club have now said the main reason for this was goalkeeper Ebele Obi. Club spokesman Solomon Onu said the former Enugu Rangers shot stopper was incredible throughout their promotion campaign in the lower league. Ebele recorded 15 clean sheets in 27 matches in the NNL and he was also the star as Heartland reached the Round of 16 of the Aiteo Cup.
