Chelsea bid emotional farewell to John Terry As the were crowned Premier League Champions

- The entire Stamford Bridge stood still for captain John Terry who will be leaving the club - The Englishman who have been at the club since age 14 spent 22 years with the EPL champions - Terry has however stated that he would have loved to stay, but has to leave now.The club legend was given a guard of honour on Sunday, May 21, by his Chelsea team-mates on the final match day at home to Sunderland after he played 26 minutes. He has been at the club since age of 14 and played for his last game for 26 minutes to correspond with his jersey number.It what could be described as an emotional moment, thousands of Chelsea faithfuls bid emotional farewell to captain John Terry after 22-years-of active service for the Stamford Bridge side. The 36-year-old Englishman is the Blues' most decorated player having won five Premier Leagues, five FA Cups, a Europa League and three League Cups"Ideally, I would have loved to stay, but the club's moving in a different direction. I couldn't play for another Premier League club," said Terry. "It will be elsewhere for sure. I feel as though I'm in great nick, I'm playing great and I've got a couple of years to go. "The club will move on. No player is ever bigger than the club. No doubt they'll sign one or two great centre-backs." "They said that when the new manager comes in, things might change. "It's not going to be a fairytale ending. I'm not going to retire at Chelsea, which it took me a couple of days to get over."
